Configure the user's email settings. |
| Open the user's configuration options by clicking on the + sign to the left of the username and you will be presented with the following screen: |

| Now select Email Configuration and you will be presented with the following screen: |

| Some of the information may have been already populated if you completed the appropriate fields in Configure General Settings. |
| Enter the following information: |
| 1. Enter either the IP address or the fully qualified network name of the POP3 incoming email server. |
| 2. If the connection to the POP3 incoming server is over SSL, then check the box “POP3 Over SSL”. |
| 3. Enter the POP3 incoming username. This is the username that the user enters when collecting their Email. |
| 4. Enter the POP3 incoming password. This is the password that the user enters when collecting their email. |
| 5. Verify the POP3 incoming password. |
| 6. Enter the full email address of the email account being used for this user to send requests to |
| 7. Enter the POP3 incoming port. Usually this will be 110, or possibly 995 if over SSL. |
| 8. If there are timeout problems connecting to this POP3 server you can change the connection timeout settings next. We suggest leaving this empty unless problems are discovered later. |
| 9. Enter either the IP address of the fully qualified network name of the SMTP outgoing email server. |
| 10. If the connection to the SMTP outgoing server is over SSL, then check the box “SMTP Over SSL”. |
| 11. Enter the SMTP outgoing username. This is the username that the user enters when sending their email. This can be left blank if authentication is not used. |
| 12. Enter the SMTP outgoing password. This is the password that the user enters when sending their email. This can be left blank if authentication is not used. |
| 13. Verify the SMTP outgoing password. |
| 14. Enter the SMTP outgoing port. This is usually 25. |
| 15. If there are timeout problems connecting to the SMTP server you can change the connection timeout settings next. We suggest leaving this empty unless problems are discovered later. |
| 16. Press 'Save'. |
| We need to test these settings next. Press “Test Account Settings...” and you will be presented with the following screen: |

| Click the 'Test' button. The status lights on the right will be illuminated as either red (for failure) or green (for success). If you get a red light click 'Close' and adjust the settings in the email configuration settings. The panel below shows that there is a problem with incoming email settings (hint : its often worth waiting a few seconds then retesting before you try changing your settings). |

| ..if all is well, you should see the panel light up with green 'success' lights. |

| Now go to Add File Searcher. |
